We put a lot of time and effort into our rattery. We care about our animals, so we want to ensure that our rats live the best lives possible and that they go to great forever homes. We work hard for them to be healthy, happy, and well tempered; for both their safety and yours. All and any profit made goes right back into our rats, into food, housing, bedding, vet care, treatments, and much more. In order to ensure that our rats are going to the best homes possible. We have an adoption application you must fill out before being approved to adopt any rats from EPR. After you submit the application you can message our Facebook page, or we will contact you through email and text(SMS). If you do not pass the application, do not fret! We can chat and see if there were any misunderstandings. We have a strict contact that all adopters must read, agree to, and sign at pick up.

1. Under no circumstance​s will we adopt rats to a minor under the age of 18 without full consent from their legal guardian. If the minor fails to provide care for the rodent, such responsibility shall fall upon the parent or guardian.

2. Please remember to bring a carrier when picking up your new pet/s, as we do not provide them.

3. EPR does not take in rescues of any kind, please contact your local ASPCA. This is to protect the health of our resident rats.

4. EPR has the exclusive right to refuse the adoption of a rat (or rats) at our discretion. We are not obligated to give a reason for refusal.

5. We do not breed to order, we breed for our own personal goals. If you are wanting on our wait-list for a specific variety it is likely you will be waiting up to 3+ months.

6. Rats must be paid for in full before leaving EPR. Payments can be made by cash or check through mail, which must be received at least 3 days before pick up date, or cash in person.

7. Our rats are ready to go to their new homes at 8-10 weeks of age, once notified that your baby is ready to go we will only hold them for a maximum of 2 weeks.

8. We can deliver up to a 1 hour distance, but this will require a traveling fee.

9. We will only adopt out same sex pairs, rats need companionship. Unless you already have 1 or more same sex rats at home, however only adopting one means it has to go through quarantine alone.  

10. Proper, separate airspace quarantine is a must. The adopter is aware of any and all risks associated with forgoing a proper, separate airspace quarantine, and if they choose to do so they agree to forfeit all guarantees and the right to another rat if the rat(s) they adopted falls ill.

11. EPR does offer shipping via United Petsafe Airlines, all fees and costs must be covered by the adopter.

12. EPR holds the right to edit and modify these policies at any given time.
